Clinical Research Office Shared Resource

Mayo Clinic Cancer Center's Clinical Research Office provides central management and oversight functions for coordinating, facilitating and reporting on Phase I, II and III clinical trials, pilot studies and population-based studies being conducted by the Center, whatever the origin. Available to all 12 Cancer Center Programs when conducting clinical research and clinical trials, this Shared Resource enables investigators to access existing infrastructure, avoiding duplication of effort to create individual systems.

The Clinical Research Office accomplishes this by providing the following services to Mayo Clinic Cancer Center investigators:

  • Protocol development and maintenance support
  • Regulatory and compliance support
  • Data systems management
  • Kelly D. Paulson
    Co-director

Study coordinator support for screening, enrolling and monitoring patients
  • Quality control checks throughout the life of the protocol
  • Education for staff as well as users of the shared resource
  • Operational support including business and administration systems and processes
  • Information systems support

With centralized services, the Clinical Research Office provides a stable and efficient administrative structure to coordinate these activities across the three campuses in: Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Rochester, Minn.; and throughout the breadth of all cancer-related studies involving patients.
