Outreach to American Indians and Alaska Natives
(Native Programs)

Mayo Clinic Cancer Center is involved in a number of outreach, awareness and education activities throughout the American Indian and Alaska Native populations of North America, collectively called Native Programs. These activities include the:

• American Indian/Alaska Native Cancer Information Resource Center and Learning Exchange (Native CIRCLE), which exists to stimulate, develop, maintain, and disseminate culturally appropriate cancer information materials for American Indian/Alaska Native educators, healthcare leaders, and students;
• American Indian/Alaska Native Leadership Initiative on Cancer (Spirit Of EAGLES) which addresses comprehensive tribal cancer control; and
• Native WEB (Women Enjoying the Benefits of Screening), which seeks to eliminate breast and cervix cancer deaths among underserved women.
