Cell culture room

The Transgenic and Knockout Core's embryonic stem cell culture room is equipped with:

• Two 6-foot tissue culture cabinets
• Two incubators (370 degrees Celsius)
• Two inverted microscopes
• Water bath

Microinjection room

Equipment in the core's microinjection room includes:

• Sutter Instrument P-97 Flaming/Brown-type micropipette puller
• American Instrument Exchange MF-1 microforge
• Olympus SZX12 stereo microscope
• Olympus 1X70 inverted microscope
• Leica DM1400B microscope
• Water-jacketed CO2 incubator
• Refrigerator and freezer

Mouse housing facility

All mice are housed in the core's 250-square-foot mouse barrier area, which is accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) International.

Equipment includes:

• Six-foot flow cabinet for microsurgery
• Incubator
• Refrigerator and freezer
• Two Leica MZ6 stereo microscopes
