Overview

The Pathology Research Core provides histological and related tissue-based services to Mayo Clinic researchers while also supporting the research and development needs of the Division of Anatomic Pathology.

Processing, testing and analysis services available in the core include preparation of histology slides for microscopy, tissue microarray construction, immunostaining, digital image capture and analysis, laser-capture microdissection, and preparation of tissues for nucleic acid or protein extraction.

The Pathology Research Core, co-directed by Thomas J. Flotte, M.D., and Wilma L. Lingle, Ph.D., is also a shared resource of the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center.
