Antiviral Activities of TRIM Family ProteinsDr. Ikeda's lab has previously reported that an innate antiviral factor, tripartite motif 5 alpha (TRIM5alpha), can block HIV production.1,2,3,4 The lab is currently studying the mechanism of TRIM5alpha-mediated antiretroviral activities, as well as possible roles of other TRIM family proteins in innate antiviral activities.
