Bone Core Group

The Mayo Clinic Metabolic Bone Disease Core Group is composed of physicians, surgeons and researchers with a primary interest in diseases of bone and mineral metabolism. The evaluation of tissue slides prepared from human iliac crest bone biopsies is referred to a team of Endocrinologists. These specialists in bone histomorphometry are members of the Metabolic Bone Disease Core Group who identify metabolic bone disease through their interpretation of tissue histology and measured values.
