Gene Analysis Services - RNA Interference Technology

This component of Gene Analysis Services serves all Cancer Center investigators with an interest in RNAi technology through a convenient web portal. It offers the following services:

• Production of lentivirus particles
• Access to special contract pricing on packaging reagents for lentiviral production
• Access to the complete Sigma/Aldrich Mission RNAi (TRC) knockdown library. As an academic partner with Sigma/Aldrich, Cancer Center researchers have preferential access to new technologies such as high throughput screening platforms. In addition, Sigma/Aldrich provides investigators with up-to-date information on new lentiviral reagents as they are developed by the RNAi Consortium (TRC) and validated by Sigma/Aldrich.
• Access to the complete Open Biosystems pGIPZ knockdown library through the RITR web interface
• New 'subscription' pricing for Sigma Mission reagents, resulting in substantial cost savings
• Proof-of-principle for Sigma Mission lentiviruses for high throughput screening (plans to offer such screening as a service by summer 2008)
• Other new services are also in development
